You may know that our son Toby was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2010.  He is doing really well yet it’s been an adjustment for all of us. You can see our short blog posts journaling our trek with diabetes here.

Shannon and I have learned how to give him his injections of insulin.  He’ll need these several times daily for the rest of his life.  God is so good though, and sovereign over our medical “surprises.”

Toby’s doctors are fabulous, but more MD’s and their prescribed treatments definitely have impacted our finances.  Again, God is sovereign.  He doesn’t flinch or run and hide when a new med bill shows up in our mailbox (so often these days).  He gave His Son.  He knows about costs.  And He cares deeply for each of us.  Yet we actively ask, seek and knock to see how He will graciously provide.
